Hello Everyone! As promised this will be the first installment of pictures from the terrific stamping show that was held at the Smithtown Sheridan on November 17th. We had so much fun and met so many crafty people!

We absolutely love going to the stamping shows because then we get to meet such amazing crafters like yourselves! I took a bunch of pictures at the show and I will be sure to start posting them after the holiday. On that note have a wonderful TURKEY DAY everyone!

Fifi, Nicole, Pam and Nancy are headed to Smithtown, Long Island on November 17th to participate in the 7^th Annual Greater New York Stamp & Scrapbook Show. The show will be held at the beautiful Smithtown Sheraton. Show hours are 10 am to 5 pm.

The Smithtown show is co-produced our good friend Estelle Lander Smith, owner of The Stampsmith. Please visit their sister site, www.stampingground.com. Estelle grew up in France, and is very familiar with one of our other brands – Clairefontaine notebooks!

If you’re going to the show, you’re more than welcome to stop by the Decopatch booth to meet us, do some make ‘n takes, see some finished products and feel the beautiful paper for yourself. Fifi will be on the lookout for volunteers to help decopatch and stamp her new “Mermaid” chair. Please help her out!

We met this guest artist at the Rhinebeck Stamping Festival.

This past weekend was the Rhinebeck Rubber Stamp & Paper Arts Festival and it was sooo much fun. We met a lot of really excellent crafters from all age groups. It was great! The people who participated in the Make & Take did such a fantastic job on their projects (images coming soon!)

Fifi enjoyed having everyone Decopatch her a new outfit. It is not quite finished but after a few more craft fairs she will look marvelous.

Does stamping work well on Decopatch paper?

You betcha!

A while ago I told you that I was going to try stamping on the paper and I finally got around to doing it and it worked out marvelously. I used stamps that Fifi bought from a fabulous rubber stamp shop here in NYC called The Ink Pad. Below are some samples that I scanned in.

This is a stunning ancient soldier stamp and the other is a vintage stamp found at a garage sale.

Fifi, Nicole and Pam will be heading up to beautiful Rhinebeck, NY for Heirloom Production’s Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival, September 22-23, 2007 at the Duchess County Fairgrounds.

We’ll be bringing all our Decopatch papers to sell, a few calligraphy pens and inks, some finished samples to display, and lots of things to “make and take.”
