We recently received an email from an Altered Arts magazine artist who is frequently featured on the cover for her altered books. Rebecca sure does have an amazing talent at altering ordinary objects and making them truely unique and well since that is our motto with Decopatch I figured I’d share some of her work with all of you.

This is an altered chair that she did for a charity event, and then was asked to make another one for the library’s fundraiser since the first one was so popular. How fabulous is that! I’ve never seen anything like it. Truly inspirational.

It’s time to start thinking about getting your 2008 planner.
Are you tired of the same old vinyl covers or kiddie designs? Do you want your datebook to be as unique and original as you are? Then customize your cover or refill with Decopatch!
Here are some altered planners (Space 17, IB Traveler, Miniweek); notepads (Rhodia) and journals (Exacompta).

The varnished covers can take a beating and not scratch or rub off.
Step 1: Select a planner
Step 2: Select a design

Not too long ago the Silver’s family took on a Decopatch project in which they created several new covers for Quo Vadis planner refills and Rhodia notepads. Here they are hard at work, although the dogs needed a little break.

Such a great way to customize your writing accessories!

Fifi was feeling totally disorganized and chaotic. She couldn’t seem to get it together and was getting very depressed and stressed.
One night, she relaxed after dinner with one of her favorite craft magazines, Altered Arts. Altered Arts showcases altered books, mixed media and many other fabulous paper craft ideas. Fifi reads every issue cover to cover. Anyway, she thought it would be a great idea to ask her crafty pal, Clarebeth, to decorate a datebook cover for her. Fifi thought a datebook could help her get organized. She chose a Miniweek because it was small and cute and easy for Pico-Pico to turn the pages with her beak!
