We recently received some emails from Kate of Vintage Charmings. She brought Decopatch to the Mega Meet Show and in Kate’s words, “It was the star of the SHOW!!!!!” After doing small make and takes, first time users were hooked. They just loved the paper and the glue.
Below are some pictures with captions by Kate. Enjoy!!!

Our booth always looks like this, it is set up like a French brocante (tag sale) with everything you see for sale. Decopatch papers and glue are showcased.

This is the part of the booth where we hold our free make and takes. Usually, two sometimes three at a time. When we are at rubberstamp shows or Scrapbook shows most people have not done any decoupage before, so it is true missionary work. But if you can get a person to take the class, they will buy paper and most of the time glue. People who come back always get more than they first did.

A closer look at our make & take space with Paperpatch at the ready!

To get people to really see the brillance of Decopatch and Paperpatch, we have them decoupage wooden letters or numbers that they can then make into a pin or use on a piece of their art. Since the letters are complex shapes, they see how well it all performs and are hooked.

I had this display custom made for me. It is great and shows the papers perfectly.
If you were at the Mega Meet (or not for that matter),
Send us some emails with pictures of your Decopatch creations!

All in all, it was a really good show. There was a lot of energy and activity around the booth and at the workshop. The masks, mirrors and flower pots at the workshop were a real hit.

On a side note, we also found out that Decopatch does NOT work very well on felt so us with precaution.

We’re almost ready to go. Today we packed up all the new papers along with lots of cute paper mache objects to challenge your creative urges. Here are two items that will be featured in our workshop on Saturday – a Moroccan mirror and a Mardi-gras mask. There are endless possibilities for decorating either of these – I used paper #384 for the mirror and #423 for the mask (along with one other paper that appears to have been discontinued). We’ll also be Decopatching a small plant pot at the workshop. So if you’re coming to CHA and are unfamiliar with Decopatch, sign up for our Saturday event right away, spend a couple of hours happily gluing paper and go home with beautiful Decopatched samples to brighten up your home. We’ll be at booth #3640 in the Anaheim Convention Center when the show opens on Sunday. Hope to see you……

Fifi decided to get a head start on the rest of us – here she is with her suitcase ready to leave for CHA. She wanted to make sure all our new papers arrived on time, so she said. But we suspect she just couldn’t wait to get to see all her relatives on the beach! So she is now well on her way and the rest of us will follow in a few days. Be sure to come by and see us at the Anaheim Convention Center, February 10th-13th at booth 3640. Hope to see you in Anaheim!
