Naughty Secretary Club
By Nicole | Jul 9, 2008 | 1 Comment »

A little while ago we sent Jennifer Perkins of the Naughty Secretary Club some Decopatch samples and as expected she did a superb job with them.  She covered some bangles for bracelets and then transformed one of the Decopatch paper mache animal figurines into a NECKLACE!  Pretty neat stuff…check it out here.

Carnival of Venice
By Fifi | Jul 1, 2008 | No Comments »

Clarebeth decided she wanted to go the carnival of Venice (or Carnevale di Venezia in Italian). She could be mysterious and a little naughty, and maybe even be a completely different person than she was in everyday life. The idea intrigued her.

She might even meet the handsome stranger of her daydreams.

Clarebeth made this beautiful mask to wear during the Carnevale. She also decided to learn more about the original masks Venetians made for the festival.

Ventian masks can be made in leather or with the original papier-mâché technique. The original masks were rather simple in design and decoration.

I found this great artist on Flickr from Germany. She does some really lovely graphic art as well as…you guessed it…DECOPATCH! Here are pictures of spaceage-looking chairs that she updated with some of the new black & white papers.

More from our friend ESTRELLA!
By Nicole | Feb 11, 2008 | No Comments »

On Saturday, January 5th, Estrella hosted “Decopatch Day” at her home in New Jersey. Her daughter, Tatiana and friends Amy and Lauren spent the day creating beautiful, unique Decopatched frames.

Estrella laid out an array of Decopatch papers, gave everyone a bristle brush, a frame and some Decopatch glue and the fun started. The room was teeming with inspiration! Estrella showed the group how easy it is to tear the paper and glue it down so that they were readily “painting with paper.” The ideas flowed onto the frames, seamlessly. There were also some wood doo-dads available for her guests to Decopatch and add to their frames, if they so desired.

And then, in the middle of all this artistry, cupcakes were brought out! Who could ask for anything more? Decopatching & Cupcakes—–mmmmm!

A great time was had by all and plans for Decopatch Day #2 are already in the works.
